Messi has graced Copa America and World Cup finals in the past but Argentina is always coming up short.

Messi feels really bad about this since he has been unable to achieve the dream of his country. In the last World Cup, Messi was really devastated since he missed a golden opportunity to put Argentina in the headlines in their final against Germany who won 1-0 in extra time. Adding insult to injury for the first time in his career he missed a penalty shootout when Argentina was beaten by Chile in the Copa America final two years ago. If dreams of Argentina fans around the world are realized, the final against Brazil or France will be a possibility.
Many football fans around the world will be happy to watch the South American rivals in the final. Hopes are on Messi; he is expected to do like Maradona did in 1986. He is expected to inspire and catapult his team to their third world cup title.
